Tilly Wood – Deputy Chair

Tilly’s primary career has been in IT and management consulting. Following a career break she gained a diploma in horticulture. Tilly now works part-time delivering business consultancy and coaching including business skills training; whilst also undertaking garden design and gardening. The majority of Tilly’s time is spent as a Bridge Care Trustee and volunteer since 2007, taking Bible-based assemblies in local schools and teaching Sunday School. Tilly has been aware of the need for local residential care for vulnerable older people wishing to live in a Christian community since Dr Ray King inspired such an awareness. Her active concern and care for older relatives in recent years has made her more aware of the varied care needs of older people. Tilly believes that Bridgemead is special because of its love and compassion for vulnerable older people underpinned by a Christian ethos and the quality of service provided by staff, ‘Friends’ and volunteers.
