Stimulation for body, mind and spirit.
Bridgemead residents and Day Club members have access to a wide array of activities and entertainment. From arts & craft to movies and day trips, it’s all about enjoying life, keeping up hobbies, or even learning something new. And one of the greatest blessings is the friendships that are built as residents share similar interests.
Here’s a small selection of activities to be enjoyed, both in and out of the home:
- Arts & crafts, gardening and baking
- Animal visits
- Film, radio and music
- Themed afternoons
- Outings such as visiting art exhibitions, National Trust properties, museums and garden centres.
Spiritual
As a Christian organisation we provide optional spiritual support for those who’d like it. This includes a short devotion each weekday morning in the main dining room and regular visits from two part-time chaplains.
Each Sunday afternoon there’s an in-house ‘church’ service, with songs of praise and a short talk by a visiting preacher from a local Bath church. If residents require prayer about something specific, or just to talk about their faith, there’s always someone on hand – and we’re well supported by local churches.
