Giving carers a much-needed rest
One of our 32 rooms is set aside for short-term residents, to give family members (who are often full-time carers) a chance to recuperate. Respite can be provided for one week, two weeks or three weeks at a time. And we know that family members have found this to be an invaluable option.
Once here, respite residents enjoy every facility that’s available for permanent residents. They’re encouraged to join in the activities and often forge lasting friendships. For those who might become full-time residents later, this also helps to ease the transition to life at Bridgemead later.
You can apply for respite care by contacting Pam Bourton, the Registered Manager.
