Nick Olley

Nick is a retired corporate lawyer with wide ranging experience of the many legal and commercial issues that face large and small businesses. He spent the greater part of his career as a partner in a large commercial law firm before taking up the role of Legal Director at the Department for Transport, where he advised government on all aspects of its air, maritime, road and rail transport policy. He became a Trustee in March 2021 and was drawn to the role because he had experienced the care sector through managing the affairs of two family members who went into care and felt that with his legal background he could make a useful contribution. He has attend St. Luke’s Church Bath for over 30 years and since retiring in 2018 has found that he is as busy as ever keeping up with his young grandchildren, indulging his passion for Manchester United and now supporting Bridgemead.
