John retired from engineering in 2013 to move, with his wife, to Bath. John previously lived in Hertfordshire where he served as a Trustee and Church Secretary for Christchurch Baptist Church before joining Hertford Baptist Church. He was also a Trustee of Firbank Housing Association which provides housing for older people. He is now an active member of St Bart’s Church, Oldfield Park. John accepted an invitation to become a Trustee in December 2013 and has been able to use his engineering skills to good effect as well as bringing a great deal of wisdom to the Board. John believes that Bridgemead is special because it is a warm and welcoming home in a delightful setting which expresses God’s love for people who are often neglected by society.
