Good food, good company, good memories
Many older people living in their own homes can experience loneliness and isolation. So Bridgemead operates a Day Club each weekday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. It’s a chance for enlivening social interaction – being part of the activities, enjoying a two-course meal and having any personal needs attended to. This can include bathing, supervision of medicine or advice from medical professionals. Specific activities can also be arranged.
Benefits of Bridgemead Day Club:
- Mental stimulation and a sense of community
- Promotes independent living – allowing them to stay at home longer
- Eases future integration into life at Bridgemead, should residential care be needed later
- Also provides family and friends with much-needed respite
Day Club members are usually referred to Bridgemead by medical professionals, GPs and social services. For self-referral, please contact us
